Samsung this week remodeled its app store, rebranding the Samsung Apps marketplace to Galaxy Apps.

This update means more than a new name and interface—Samsung is also offering hundreds of new applications, built exclusively for Galaxy mobile users.

Galaxy Apps features three sections: Best Picks, Top, and For Galaxy. As their names suggest, Best Picks makes it easy to find recommended apps and Top showcases the most popular apps viewed by popularity, date, and price.

For Galaxy, meanwhile, is split into four sub-sections, including Gifts' premium app exclusives (Navmax GPS Navigation, NYTimes Breaking News), and Essentials' must-have applications, (Samsung Wallet, WatchON, Smart Remote).

The Apps for Professionals option houses business-focused services—from medical to finance to engineering to homemaking—which fully utilize Galaxy innovations.

Professional developers and budding app builders can hit the Galaxy Specials section to download services specifically created via Samsung SDKs for multiplayer games, home appliances, and even the S Pen.

The tech giant also hopes its revamped store will give users better customization options, not to mention a platform to find and promote deals.

"At Samsung, we continuously strive to create value for our customers by providing differentiated solutions and services coupled with innovative devices," WonPyo Hong, president of the Media Solution Center at Samsung Electronics, said in a statement. "Samsung Galaxy Apps is an extension of that promise, as its offers our customers exclusive apps to enrich their experience."

Available now in the U.S., Galaxy Apps will eventually reach more than 130 million users across 161 countries, Samsung said.

Anyone with a Galaxy device—including the just-announced S5 mini and budget handsets—can head to the refreshed marketplace to fill up your phone with various games and apps of all types.
